Vetropack Austria GmbH: Johann Eggerth takes over as General Manager of the Business Division Switzerland/Austria
On 1 March 2018, Johann Eggerth (1967) will take over as General Manager of the Business Division Switzerland/Austria. The division includes Vetropack Austria GmbH, with its two plants in Pöchlarn and Kremsmünster, as well as the Swiss Vetropack AG, with a plant in St-Prex on Lake Geneva. Eggerth has also been appointed a member of Vetropack Group Management.
Eggerth graduated from the University of Mining Leoben (metallurgy/materials technology) and has extensive international professional experience. For instance, he worked for Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau as project head and product manager and for McKinsey & Company on international consulting projects before setting up and running the engineering and consulting firm Festool Engineering for the Festool Group. Since 2012 he has been the general manager of the family-owned company Adler-Werk Lackfabrik in Tyrol. His work focused on developing and implementing a viable internationalisation and growth strategy, which has now been completed.
The Supervisory Board of Vetropack Holding AG hired Eggerth as head of the business unit on 1 November 2017, with a start date of 1 March 2018. The position has been occupied on an interim basis by Johann Reiter, CEO of the Vetropack Group, who was Eggerth’s predecessor in the Switzerland/Austria business unit from 2010 until the end of 2017.
